Agreed - but the two are certainly not 'potato potahto'. If this offer was made during training camp Foligno was his usual pre-season all-star self and Shannon was way down on the depth chart.

For someone looking to move a d-man for a forward Foligno + for Giordano is certainly in the realm of possibility at that time.
