Lol I interned for 2 years at the ISS and work part-time with them now. This has been a pretty rough year haven't really gotten out to as many games as I'd hoped to but went to a few high profile tournaments. Basically though we go to the games scout "priority" players and write reports and enter them into the database. If you notice a player who is not priority you can flag them and they will become priority, and get more notice. We discuss rankings and the ISS rankings you see every month is a culmination of reports, and debate between the staff member. ISS has all 30 NHL teams, all CHL teams, tons of colleges, junior A teams, and even European teams as clients now. So from their point of view it's great exposure for anyone striving to break into the scouting world because who knows which hockey exec might stumble across your reports and like what they see. It's actually a ton of fun and I'd recommend it to anyone interested. They're constantly looking for people for the internship program especially in certain low exposure areas.

I was actually scouting the OHL gold cup yesterday. Got to see some kids who are definitely going to be legit top NHL players down the line. Hockey Canada was in the house too getting some notes for the selection of the U17 team.

Likely! The only problem is that you have to pay a fee to do the internship because of the CHL pass, business cards, software account, sweet ISS blazer, etc. that they give you. So I know that turns off a lot of people that are really interested at first.

Is this a trick question?

I'm in 3 others but none.... As important as this one?
lol..really? no money leagues among those 3?
Actually they're all money leagues. And then I'm in 4 football money leagues, and a baseball league that's just for fun a.k.a I barely look at it.

It was only $500 for the season when I did it but I think they upped it to $1000 broken down into $100 a month starting in September of the hockey season.

You realize that this league is not for money, right? We are looking for active long term members. If you won't have much interest in this please be forward about your intentions.

That's not bad, in my opinion.

lol, Im sure Thom told him it isn't a $ league. I've been in lots of other leagues including $ leagues and the appeal of this league is the competition, community and how in depth it is. $ leagues are typically one season and don't have many trades or any prospects so I don't think being in $ leagues precludes one from being active here.

I would be alot more interested in this than the baseball just because I don't really pay attention to baseball at all it's just with a group from high-school.

While matthew may be a bit harsh, this league does need active, chirpy, involved GM's.

it's all about the competition, nothing about the money. It's where we pretend to be actual GM's and maybe one day .. we, too, can be the new Hire of the Las Vegas Red Lights

I wasn't trying to be harsh. I just felt the question needed to be asked.
