Los Angeles-St. Louis: Steve is in control. Great game from Kincaid while Crawford has had a tough week. Shep needed to steal goaltending to even have a prayer.

Calgary-Vancouver: Really tight matchup. With Halak hurt, that'll hamper Josh's chances beyond this week if he can hold on. Fraser definitely has a shot to overtake Josh this weekend.

Minnesota-Colorado: For a 10-3-3 score, the stats are very close. Goaltending and offense is very much up for grabs.

Nashville-Chicago: Figured this would be the best matchup on this side of the bracket and it's lived up to it so far.

Arizona has another game, but it's looking like it will be the 3rd game missed in a row by OEL with his friggin shoulder bruise.

Hopefully the outcome of this very close matchup won't depend on whatever decision the CC may have to come up with about Shiv's goalies: Greiss is expected to start today and would be the 4th start (5th gp) for Shiv, with one game left for Tampa (Bishop) on Sunday.

It's a shame that greiss playing 4 minutes in one game could cost him this match. Is it starts or gp? Ah well, them be the rules.

Maybe in the future, rather than forfeiting all goalie stats when this happens in the playoffs, it should just be forfeiting Wins and shutouts, as they are more connected to gp than sv percentage and gaa.

starts, so those 4 minutes won't be the problem

I don't think all Shiv's G stats should be erased no matter what that point of the outdated CBA maintains. There have been deep discussions on the CC board in the past over changing that rule, the change was never finalized only because of CC lack of final 'commitment' and certainly not because opinions of keeping it as it was prevailed.

that's one of the options that have been considered for future regulation on this matter.

So in the case of this rule we are considering not following it to the letter if circumstances show it to not make sense but for the trade deadline it was impossible?

This has been an ongoing discussion since last year but we can't get cc members to vote on a rule.

We need ACTIVE cc members other than Mik and I.

They are connected in terms of deciding how to interprete the cba either we follow the rules as they are written or not. How is it fair to flip flop on this in some cases and not in others? I'm fine with the cc ruling on the deadline but I think its reasonable to ask for consistency on this too

First thing leagues do is get rules in place.

7th or 8th season here and we still have nothing set in stone.

I don't understand it.

Set rules

If something questionable comes up, vote on changes.

Establish revised rule.

Move onto the next.
