Buds Board Keepers League

I've been on the CC for a long time, and more than once people have questioned my role saying I base my decisions on my convenience and bias.

That is something that erodes my will to spend more time doing it. I can't control others' feelings, but knowing where the majority stands on the matter will help me decide if it's worth to keep it going or not.

If majority wants me to stay in CC I guess it shouldn't be right to step down because of a minority of opinions I obviously don't share.

Mind you, this is not a popularity survey, I know some may want me to stay even if they don't like me, and some others may prefer me to step down after such a long time even if they don't mind me.

Hopefully most GMs will have their say in this survey.

Obviously, if the outcome of this survey will make me stay, it won't necessarily mean I'll stay on CC for a long time: I may just run out of patience eventually, or as suggested we may decide as a league to have a voting each seasons on the CC members, or whatever else.

you are the heart and soul of the CC and the league would be far worse off without you there.

I don't think that should be part of the decision process on this vote at all Lee.

This is just to test league's preference.

If I step down someone else will have to step up, but it doesn't mean whoever votes NO will need to step up himself..

I don't know why this was posted. Mik gets some grief for being the voice of the CC but he's not the only voice. All CC members should step up and support your decisions.

However, I would like to see our CC members in the future get elected by the other league members.

I'd be willing to give the CC another go if my services are needed.

what I meant by that, being less gritty, is that there is no logical explanation anyone could have for not wanting you as a cc member.

100% behind Mik staying and agree he gets a bad rap from a lot of people who don't realize the work involved, and extra time he puts in.

I was in CC. I know what types of discussions need to happen and how decisions are relayed. It takes time and participation from the members and even within the CC that can be lacking. Basically it should be put up or shut up. You need to have differing viewpoints to be successful in rulings and new ideas. This poll is irrelevant imo. Mik is better in English and articulating his words than any person in here, myself included. He is and needs to be a CC member. I would also support Lee being in the CC as he has some of those same traits and experiences.

I agree with all of this except that a lot of the time Lee's grasp of English seems tenuous at best.
