I never had a chance without Little, Turris, Carlson. Mik has amazing depth. Those 3 make my team tick.

LOL, still with the 'never had a chance' jinxing tactic I see, even when it's clearly a 50-50 situation at this point.

The real score right now it's basically 7-6, cause I'm only up by 1 minute in SHTOI which means I'll very probably lose that category today, as I only have W.Karlsson going at it vs Abdelkader & McDonagh (+ Kunitz. And if Kronwall is indeed out injured).. that asshole named Abdelkader among other things already has more than 9 minutes in SHTOI on the week.

Similar situation for BS, where we are currently tied and McDonagh is the only defenseman playing today.

Then you have other stats that could go either way.

Add in the question marks surrounding your goaltending situation and this is the ultimate thriller.

I got Wins, FW, SOG, probably A and Pts, you got Hits, PIMs, probably SV%, SHTOI, with like 7 other categories still up for grabs...

No drama heading into Sunday...

Steve can kick up his feet and relax.
Josh appears to have taken control of his matchup.
Hong should hang onto to his lead.
Mik has his matchup in his grasp but injury concerns loom.

If anyone has a shot in the West to make a comeback today, it's Shiv...but I think you have this one, Mik. No Malkin but you still have some key offensive guys going for you.

Kronwall is hurt but McDonagh should get him the blocks category. Otherwise, he's going to have a hard time winning the offensive categories.

It's not in the bag but I think you're in good shape.

Without doing the math, if Malkin is basically done for the season...are you going to be able to plug in Panarin and Klingberg for next week?

I'd have been able to do that without the Malkin injury, since Gaborik is on LTIR and I moved Bob.

This week they are out of my lineup only cause Klingberg is injured and Chicago plays just 2 games

I'll answer that question after today's games...

so far, good 1st period of the 1st game.

Hornqvist scores on the PP without involving Kunitz's dirty hands, and records the only BS among the 4 players on the ice.

Horrific play by Kunitz who wastes an opportunity for the Pens and launches the Rangers' counter that leads to the tying goal. But that doesn't affect the matchup cause both him and Hornqvist get the -1, while both McDonagh and Zucc get the +1.

McDonagh has overturned SHTOI as expected.

Meanwhile, Bishop is confirmed as a starter, so it looks like Shiv will indeed exceed the 4 starts limit this week.

They are connected in terms of deciding how to interprete the cba either we follow the rules as they are written or not. How is it fair to flip flop on this in some cases and not in others? I'm fine with the cc ruling on the deadline but I think its reasonable to ask for consistency on this too
there is an obvious big difference:
the rule about the deadline has been applied in the past and was never questioned, especially when it comes to roster lock.
the rule about weekly goalies limit in the playoffs, as far as I can remember never needed to be applied in the end, and whenever it was close to be needed it was questioned&discussed heavily inside CC. We never came to announce anything unfortunately, but none of the options left on the table was to leave it as it was written in the old CBA, which would mean erasing all G stats even when the GM did nothing wrong.

That's why I don't think it would be fair to erase Shiv's G stats this week, no matter what exactly the CC will decide here(if it will be forced to indeed make a decision).

McDonagh scores, cut my +/- lead in half and ties back BS at the end on a Pens' EN attempt.

Yet to play:

W.Karlsson & Larkin for me

Abdelkader & Bishop (don't know if that will count being the 5th start) for Shiv

If shiv is going to lose 2.5 points due to too many goalie gp, he needs abdelkader + kronwall to get at least 2 goals & win +/- & 1 block & approx 2.5 shtoi.

I dont think anyone knows what will happen. Hence, most likely scenario imo is nothing will happen
