Re: CC member?
The role of the CC as a collective group is the make and interpret rules. Outside of that, the individual CC members should be available to explain what their decision was. Transparency is probably something most people in this league would be in favor of. Mik does a great job at being available to explain things further. I don't think Mik needs to take it personal when someone disagrees with a rule or a decision the CC has made.
In general, this league falls apart without structure and organization. More people need to step up and contribute to keeping this league organized. I do my part with the draft. Mik does an excellent job as an organizer and as a conduit between the CC and the rest of the league. Mike has done numerous thankless things for the league. None of us do this for money...we do it because we care about this league.

Re: CC member?
I'm assuming this a "fuck you" poll from Mik.
Re: CC member?
I actually disagree with part of scott's above post. CC members should be people with long-term commitment and less prone to peaks and values -> special interest moments are not good for long term governance. We don't want it to be a popularity vote each time an issue comes up based on who a proper ruling effects. The CC members should be able to vote in private and present the rulings as a united group, rather then each member every time. that's the strength in shared responsibility rather than individual ballot counting.
Mik even though we weren't always on the same side of a discussion, was consistently engaged and always willing to talk through his perspective. Long time contributor to the BBKL and an reason why we're going strong into season 8 (or where-ever we are at).

Scott, I didn't take it personal when people simply disagreed with CC decisions.Shoalzie wroteCOLON I don't think Mik needs to take it personal when someone disagrees with a rule or a decision the CC has made.
Fact is, there have been GMs personally attacking my actions inside CC, blaming me for bias etc. Steve has only been the last one.
I think even among those who are now supporting my stay in CC in this thread (and I'm not bringing this up necessarily as a bad thing), some have been 'attackers' in the past , iirc Lee was one of them not too much time ago.
Re: CC member?
I can separate the good you do from my own personal bias.
Re: CC member?
In the league that I run, personal attacks are not allowed. they are cause for banishment from the league.

Re: CC member?
I personally think Mik does a great job. Thanks for all the work you do here.

Re: CC member?
19 votes for out of 21 (and possible 30), surprising support (at least on paper), so I'll remain a CC member

You called me an asshole.dave1959 wroteCOLONIn the league that I run, personal attacks are not allowed. they are cause for banishment from the league.
I responded by calling you a retard?
You remove yourself first and I'll gladly do the same. I also voted to remove mik because i think we need new voices on the cc, not because he doesn't do a lot or work. I have no issues with him staying but we need a larger CC with 3-5 extra and new members. The cc is suppose to represent the league. The guys i suggested would bring a new look to the league and help out with the shared eork.

Would all be great adds to the cc group.

I did NOT specifically call you an asshole Steve.
I said anyone who votes no. that is not a personal attack, as it was not directed at a specific person.
